Finished!

Last summer, we began a project building a home for Juan Alberto. He and his family are faithful servants at the Alfa Y Omega Church in Nagarote. Harvest Assembly of Lakeland came and poured a foundation to begin a home for Juan and his family.
Then, First Baptist of Frostproof came in and had the walls and roof built.
On this trip, we hired Omar to stucco the outside.
The final product after painting and a picture of Juan and his amazing family.

More plumbing!

Todd plumbed a new bathroom on the farm for the farm workers. This is the area where it was built.
The ground was leveled and a water line was installed.
All the plumbing completed. Yes, the walls will go up AFTER the plumbing.....Viva Nicaragua!
Now we need some walls......we left money to hire the brick worker.

Steve getting his preaching on!

James 4
Submit Yourselves to God

4 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures...13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

Steve was able to share with the church last night at Alfa Y Omega.

Bano Nuevo!

As part of our trip this time, we planned on installing two bathrooms. The first bathroom was sponsored by Todd and his church.
This is the location of where the bathroom would be installed at the Alfa Y Omega Church. Before this, they had to use an outhouse.
Todd got busy and started using his plumbing skills.
More progress!
The plumbing is finished!
The last step is to build the walls and a roof.

Rice, Beans, & Bibles, OH MY!

Today we delivered care packages in the Parcelena community.
While delivering, we noticed a TEN COMMANDMENTS poster that we gave out last year hanging on someone's wall.
We distributed over 100 care packages and enjoyed bringing smiles to the community.

New Shoes

One of our team members, Mike Harney, shared his heart for Nicaragua on his Facebook page. Last year when he came to Nicaragua he brought shoes for the children. He decided to repeat that this year and posted a picture from his previous trip. Many of his Facebook friends and co-workers saw the post and started to pitch in to provide shoes for the children of Nagarote, Nicaragua. Here are a few of the photos of the children receiving the shoes.

Gearing up for our return!

The itinerary is set, the plans are in the works, and the luggage is already overflowing! We are ready to return to our home-away- from-home in Nagarote, Nicaragua. This time, our mission includes installing two bathrooms - one at Alfa Y Omega and the other at the farm family home on Rancho de Dios. Part of the team will paint the home that was built for Juan and his family last year next to the church grounds. We will be sure to do the usual favorites of a few VBS's and food distributions while we are there. We ask for continued prayers as we seek God's guidance in making this trip about Him!
